The unique flavor created by the used processing of Okayama-made selvedge denim. These cropped pants feature a soft silhouette and an attractive ankle-length.
The entire waist is elasticated, making them easy to wear.
The pockets also have beautiful denim processing.
A waist string is threaded through, allowing for adjustable tying.
The back pockets are designed to be slightly lower. The pocket panel pattern is a characteristic of VU.
The selvedge denim fabric is carefully woven on a shuttle loom, also known as an old loom, at a long-established denim manufacturer in Okayama.
The shuttle loom weaves denim by repeatedly passing a shuttle carrying the weft thread between the warp threads.
Compared to other looms, the weaving speed is slow, requiring the skills of artisans and a lot of manual work, which takes time and effort.
Because the threads are woven without stress, the result is a soft, textured, and durable denim.
*The artisans carefully finish the denim with a vintage, worn-in look.
*Due to the special used processing, dyeing, and washing processes, each item will have a different used look, color unevenness, wrinkles, and fading.
