The main material is horsehide, using leather called "base" that has only been color-adjusted. The raw hides, gathered from various parts of Europe, were finished by a domestic tanner specializing in horsehide, a rare specialty. The oil usually used for finishing is added during dyeing and permeates the leather in the drum. By applying friction processing to the surface of the resulting leather, a smooth and very soft texture is created. This leather offers an extremely natural appeal, something you can't experience with leather that has undergone surface treatments like embossing or pigmenting. The subtle color variations enrich the expression, making each piece unique.

To maximize the lightness and softness of the horsehide, the hardware is kept to a minimum, and a soft core material is used for a lightweight finish. The interior fabric is a soft, comfortable cotton satin. The interior construction is simple, and all models come with a pouch, allowing you to use it like a removable pocket. The Porter logo on the surface is stamped after applying a core material to the back of the leather, which hardens with heat, resulting in a clearer and more durable finish.

The horsehide used in this series has not undergone surface treatment to preserve its texture. Also, horses have short hair, making them susceptible to external factors, so scars from rearing, original markings, and wrinkles may appear on the leather's surface. However, this is proof of authenticity!
