Vintage antique condition with many dents. There is also a line where an old line of tape left a shiny spot in the natural patina. The front is smooth, while the base has a hand-hammered look, perhaps made in shaping the metal. The piece is about 12" long, 9" wide, and 4.5" tall from the base to the top of the cap, not including the loop and is quite heavy for its size at 3 pounds, 7 ounces. The body appears to be made of copper, while the cap some brass colored magnetic metal. The date Feb. 14, 1921, is engraved on the top, in the British month, day, year order, so this piece may have been made in England, but there are no maker's marks.
